Cube uv-C
CUBE UV-C is a standalone platform used, among other things, for UV-C treatment in plastic-covered tunnels and vertical racks.
Depending on the configuration, up to eight rows can be treated simultaneously. Thanks to its flexible and compact design, even the outer rows can be reached, allowing the CUBE to be used in existing and older tunnel systems as well.
With a working width of up to 9 meters, the CUBE moves autonomously along the rows of crops. Navigation is handled by LiDAR sensors and GPS, and is supplemented by an AI-based camera system for detecting people and obstacles.
Thanks to its modular design, the CUBE can be adapted to different working heights, track widths, and mounting systems. For UV-C applications, the machine is designed to cover up to 10 ha per machine.
What is UV-C?
UV-C is ultraviolet electromagnetic radiation in the wavelength range of 100 to 280 nanometers (nm) that is used to inactivate certain microorganisms. It damages their genetic material, thereby inhibiting their reproduction.
In automated crop protection, targeted UV-C treatment enables the chemical-free reduction of certain pathogens and can reduce the use of chemical pesticides.
