Adir power spray
With our ADIR POWER platform, crop protection in protected cultivation becomes autonomous and precise. The platform combines a battery-electric drive system with the electrostatic spraying technology of our technology partner OnTarget.
The spraying robot is particularly well-suited for growing strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries. In addition, OnTarget’s spraying technology can also be used for other specialty crops such as apples, cherries, citrus fruits, almonds, pistachios, table grapes and wine grapes, hops, and hemp.
ADIR POWER can handle up to three rows at a time and can be customized to fit various tunnel and attachment systems, as well as hanging and upright planting systems. The dual tires allow for ground-protecting operation and provide additional stability.
Electrostatic Spraying: how it works
The spray liquid is atomized into extremely fine droplets using air. An electrode on the nozzle electrically charges these droplets.
The charged droplets repel each other while being attracted to the plant’s surface. As a result, the spray is distributed more evenly and reaches even hard-to-reach areas, such as the undersides of leaves.
Targeted application allows for efficient spraying using less water and fewer pesticides. The spraying robot has a tank capacity of 120 liters, which, depending on operating conditions, may be sufficient to treat approximately one hectare. With conventional spraying methods, for example, 800 liters of spray solution were previously required for this area. The treatment time is less than five hours per hectare, depending on operating conditions.
